Where will we travel?
Each day will be a new adventure! Here are a few of my favourite places.
We will visit many different locations, including quaint towns and medieval villages, a city or two, wineries and the most beautiful countryside. It is important to know that we will not have a set itinerary. This is one of the things that makes our trip so special! Each day I will chat with our host, Chris, to determine what we would like to do, see, paint or explore. Chris knows many, many places that work for our needs and offer good locations for painting, restrooms and usually a cafe. The weather is a determining factor when we make our plans. Market day is different in each location so we keep this in mind too.
Our home base is Limoux which is in the Languedoc-Roussillon region of France. You will quickly become familiar with the streets and alleyways around Le Monastere. It is a very safe area to go for a stroll, shop and explore, even on your own. Here is a link to an overview of Limoux.

Carcassonne - If you are interested in visiting the walled city or shopping for shoes and French fashions Carcassonne is a great way to spend your two "days off". You can travel there by fast train. Jamie and I will go along to show you how to use the train and where to get on and off.

Gorges de l-Aude offers a great hike through a stunning gorge. If walking isn't your thing you can ago by van to the other end.
